Jackalope Report: Season 1
JACK: Finally awake, you three? I don’t know how you slept through everything that’s happened.
JACK: That’s just how things work around here, though. I don’t make the rules!
JACK: It’s almost time for the second Trial, and the second round of Projections to go with it… but I’m sure you’d like to know what happened, right?
JACK: You know which way you voted, but what were the consequences?
JACK: Let’s just say we… reinforced some beliefs, rejected some others, and let the cards fall where they may. How about we take it from the top?
JACK: Prisoner 001 - Emily Lewenhock. You voted her “unforgiven,” and her ideas have been rejected.
JACK: It seems her way of coping with this was to put her microbiology training to use and brew up some old-fashioned prison wine!
JACK: But did she offer me any? No. So I see no reason to keep her little secret.
JACK: Prisoner 002 - Andrew Edgeworth. You voted him “forgiven,” and his ideas have been affirmed.
JACK: As such, he didn’t have any issue picking the lock to the room inside the panopticon… I suppose he didn’t get anywhere, but that’s another issue entirely, isn’t it?
JACK: Looks like even he can’t keep his composure forever, though. That fire really must have sickened him.
JACK: Oh, the fire? We’ll get to that, don’t you worry.
JACK: Prisoner 003 - Suzune Gikou. You voted her “forgiven,” and her ideas have been affirmed.
JACK: As much as MILGRAM can affirm them, at least. It doesn’t seem she’s so willing to forgive herself–but at least she’s trying to stay cheery!
JACK: Enough so to lead the charge breaking into the panopticon, injuring her shoulder in the process. Allegedly, she was worried you three were trapped inside… But that wouldn’t have been a very comfortable napping spot for you, now, would it?
JACK: On that note, Sie, I’m afraid your night-shift pillow was taken in the chaos—but Suzune wasn’t directly responsible for that one. Of course, indirect responsibility is just as important to consider…
JACK: Prisoner 004 - Tatsuko Onizuka. You voted her “unforgiven,” and her ideas have been rejected.
JACK: She didn’t take kindly to that! If anything, the judgment has only caused her to lean more heavily into her criminal tendencies. After helping Suzune break down the panopticon door—which has since been repaired, no worries—she set the prison afire.
JACK: Wasn’t she supposed to be rejected, restrained, you ask? Well, yes, but it’s only the first judgment. She didn’t have too much trouble working around it with a little help. Yes, yes, I see you twitching there, Ei—the restraints will be stronger moving forward.
JACK: If you continue to vote her “unforgiven,” that is. Personally, I think life in this place is much more exciting with less restraint, but (sigh) it’s up to your judgments, not mine.
JACK: Prisoner 005 - Sylas Grey. You voted him “forgiven,” and his ideas have been affirmed.
JACK: If there are any ideas in that head of his.
JACK: Should he be here at all, if he doesn’t know what his crime is? Well, for now it seems you don’t think so. Perhaps he’ll learn about the truth alongside you.
JACK: Prisoner 006 - Vincent Churchwell. You voted him “unforgiven,” and his ideas have been rejected.
JACK: As if he wasn’t rejecting himself enough to begin with—but you all are the judge of that, aren’t you?
JACK: Anyway, the verdict wasn’t enough to keep him from being a main player in putting out the kitchen fire—or from making off with a monitor from the panopticon. Playing both sides a bit, is he?
JACK: Prisoner 007 - Hikaru Suzuki. You voted him “forgiven,” and his ideas have been affirmed… somewhat. It seems as though we didn’t all agree on this one. What, me? Oh no, I am only your guide. I have no judgments to make. And yes, I know very few of your verdicts were unanimous. That’s not what I meant.
JACK: Back to Hikaru. He did help to put out the fire… somewhat.
JACK: Really I’m a lot more interested in his relationship with Akemi! The cordial cutthroat type… Gets me every time. Who knows what will become of it, if they’re both left to keep their momentum? Only you can make that decision.
JACK: Prisoner 008 - Eloise Carter. You voted her “unforgiven,” and her ideas have been rejected… to some extent.
JACK: She didn’t take it lying down, either! Granted, her path of destruction was less notable than some of the others…
JACK: But she did contribute to ransacking the panopticon. Even convinced little Bow-Wow to help her out. Both of them hurt their fingers a bit… Thankfully nothing serious. I don’t even have fingernails, and I still shudder at the thought of any real mutilation there.
JACK: Prisoner 009 - Robert McCay. You voted him “unforgiven,” and his ideas have been rejected… somewhat.
JACK: Another set of voices in his head… another person might find it all too much, but he seems to be coming to terms with it.
JACK: Perhaps you should keep a close eye on this one, though. Anyone with the gall to steal the hat off a creature as cute as myself could surely be capable of atrocities.
JACK: Prisoner 010 - Akemi Kuro. You voted her “forgiven,” and her ideas have been affirmed.
JACK: She’s rather annoyed by all the affirmation, actually. Then again, what isn’t she annoyed by? I understand, I understand…
JACK: A number of the prisoners here really are determined to test her patience. Is she still forgivable if she takes matters into her own hands here, too? Of course, that’s all hypothetical.
JACK: Prisoner 011 - Bow-Wow. You voted him “forgiven,” and his ideas have been affirmed.
JACK: He doesn’t seem entirely onboard with the praise, either, but perhaps it’s still given him the confidence to show his face more? Hard to say.
JACK: He did a fairly decent job on some lower tier of people management during the fire—getting some to safety or calling others into action. Maybe he has a promising future in HR after all?
JACK: Or maybe he has no future at all. Is that all up to you? Well…
JACK: Prisoners 012 - Nobuko and Shiori Yoshida. You voted them “unforgiven,” and their ideas have been rejected.
JACK: Oh, and as you hoped, Bea, even this low level of restraint involved them getting clipped together again. Hilarious! A shame you slept through their struggles, but there’s no reason you have to go about freeing them immediately, is there? They were quite helpful putting out the kitchen fire despite their impediment, so clearly it’s not that much of an issue.
JACK: But it’s all up to you.
JACK: Prisoner 013 - Kaoru Naito. You voted him “unforgiven,” and his ideas have been rejected.
JACK: Which seems to be par for the course with him. Doubtless he’d have gotten into even more trouble fully unrestrained, but he still managed to put on a show! What fun!
JACK: He, of course, was Tatsuko’s co-conspirator in lighting the projection room on fire. Seems to have made him a few enemies even among his fellow prisoners, but he did accomplish what he set out to do!
JACK: What’s that? You thought it was a kitchen fire? It was! Kaoru and Tatsuko started a fire in the kitchen and brought it to the projection room. It doesn’t seem as though they intended for the kitchen to catch fire once they were done with it, but that’s just the risk you run, isn’t it? And everyone survived, so it’s not that big a deal.
JACK: So, now that you’re all caught up, it’s time to begin viewing the second set of projections! How can you do that when the projection room was burnt? Fear not! The technology survived the flames just fine. The chair may be a bit less comfortable now, is all.
JACK: That’s not your problem, though, is it?
JACK: Go on, I won’t hold you any longer. I’m sure you’re missing our dear prisoners as much as they missed you!
